EA fixed the Fog Emitter issues so if you are downloading for the first time everything will work just fine! If you already had it installed when they stopped working, you can re-install the lot and they will work again.
This lot was made before Seasons came out so some of the features will not be compatible with snow or rain. such as the skylights and the greenhouse. It shouldn't be hard to fix these though. Just cover the skylights and make the greenhouse a regular room with windows.

Does this require any EP/SPs?

ReplyDeletebut no cc and only free EA store items, if any. I'm working on the Base Game version now and it won't have the aquarium. For the specific EP/SPs look in the top corner of the EA download.
It will replace items you don't have but this is mostly a Showtime lot so if you don't have that it might be pretty funky up in there, lol.

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful lot. I have a couple of your other lots as well. One problem, and I don't understand it but, the house keeps turning into an EA lot after saving it. It could be the world itself reverting it inot a lot that was there prior to placement of your lot. It is extremely weird. I would love to play this lot if you have any suggestions that would be very welcome.
ReplyDeleteIt happened to me too! It looked like an EA lot but then when I went to the house level it slowly changed back into my house...weird. What an odd glitch.

ReplyDeleteYour houses are so cute I can't decide what to have my Sim live in now - modern?, tropical? uhhh, cottage?
And I'm not using a money cheat with my main Sim.
I used to always use $ cheats, but it sometimes ruins the fun, so it's going to be long wait til she can move in one. But I have some of your homes set up in Sunlit Tides til she can afford one.
My original Sim with no money cheats COULD have afforded a couple of the homes, but I had to create new Sim cuz newest update messed up the journal & gardening that she had mastered before patch came out - & it bothered me to keep the glitched-file Sim.

ReplyDeleteIt's an old trick of deleting a spot of the roof after laying down the smallest fencing and it just gives the illusion of sky lighting.

ReplyDeleteI thought I read something about the fog emitters being able to "fix" in a lot if you "reinstall" the lot since the 1.5 patch.
You know, the "relocated to base game thing" - & the issue with your aquarium no longer working as it first did.
I haven't been able to test yet because I have to wait til I can upgrade PC to mess with my Sims.
Since Island Paradise comes out the day before my birthday, I am hoping to get upgrade done before then. Or my kids are gonna see a grown up real close to crying.
(They're 17 & older anyway. Probably won't even notice, LOL!)
Did I totally read wrong or is it possible the 1.5 patch can make it work again? I refuse to give up this lot, no matter what, but still.

I minimized my game just to post here to tell you I tested it.
Although I was supposed to upgrade PC before playing again, I couldn't help myself. I hope PC doesn't die first...something kinda went bad, unexpectedly, in real life that made me have to delay the upgrade for a few months :(
I redid my entire Sims 3 game install of store items and about 5 of your lots that my Sims doesn't want to live without.
I have never been so happy to see the flames working again! And the fish with little bubbles in that awesome aquarium you made on top floor!
I am soooo glad I didn't give up on those lots, OMG!!
I feel like a kid, hahahahaaaaa!!
It's because I adore those lots!
I can't make the levels & landscaping anything close to what you have done.
I tried so many time & failed. So your lots save me from lame boring homes for my Sim. Although when I decide to play without cheats it takes me forever to sfford them, LOL.
Poor Sims has to wait forever it seems. But it's worth the wait.

Thanks so much for letting me know! You know, I always use "Motherlode" but I do realize some Simmers don't like to use the codes. Hopefully your Sims have a very long life cycle. ;)
